All About Mrs. Sherman
I was born and raised right here in San Antonio and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of the Incarnate Word. I then pursued my teaching certification through UTSA/Region 20 TOPP. I am certified to teach Preschool-4th grade, and I am ESL certified. I also earned a Master's degree in School Counseling from Lamar University, and I have obtained School Counselor certification for grades K-12.
I am entering my 14th year of teaching here at Fort Sam Houston Elementary. Go Cougar Cubs!! I taught 1st grade for my first two years and this will be my 12th year teaching 3rd grade.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I live in the city of Schertz with my husband, Chris, who is a 4th grade math and science teacher. We have two beautiful daughters, Ava, age 8, and Lauren, age 5. I also have a Basset Hound named Trixie that I adore!
I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with my 3rd graders. I love watching them progress in their reading, writing, science and mathematics skills. I want to encourage and challenge my students to do their very best each and every day. I welcome the opportunity to work closely with the parents and to building a successful educational partnership!
Let’s have a FABULOUS 2016-17 school year!
