Popcorn Words

Popcorn Words (or sight words) are words that "POP" up in reading. Each week we will introduce 2-3 new popcorn words. The 2023-2024 word list is located in your child's daily folder. 

Please note, all Kindergartner's should be able to read at least 25 High Frequency ("popcorn") words by the end of the year. Should your child master reading and identifying all of these prior to the end of the year, I will gladly send home a first grade word list. Make sure to help your child by practicing each week and making reading fun!
