Read Across America

March 2nd is the birthday of Dr. Seuss and here at Fort Sam Houston Elementary, we celebrated for the entire week!

Our themes this year were:

Monday, February 29th: Celebrate One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. How many Colors can you wear at one time?

Tuesday, March 1st: Celebrate The Cat in the Hat, the book that made Dr. Seuss famous and wear your Craziest Hat.

Wednesday, March 2nd: Dress like a Literary Character, perhaps a character from your favorite book or like the Cat in the Hat.

Thursday, March 3rd: Celebrate Horton Hears a Who. In honor of the Who's and all of Dr. Seuss’s crazy creatures, it's Crazy Hair Day.

Friday, March 4th: Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Sleep Book with Pajamas Day!
