Getting to Know Mrs. Menck

I'm not a native Texan, but I'd say I got here as soon as I could! I graduated from Cole High School and attended Texas Tech University. I'm married to Kenny Rogers who retired from the Army after a 26 year career. I am blessed to have three children! Parker finished his first year at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, Harrison is in 11th, and Marin is in 9th grade! I love working with military children, and know, first hand, how unique their experiences are. When I'm not teaching, I'm busy running around with my children, playing with my puppies, playing golf with my husband, and planning the next family vacation.

YES, this is Shaquille O'Neal!! I graduated with him in 1989 from Cole High School. This was his jersey retirement ceremony. I hadn't seen him in so long and he totally remembered me!!! I felt like I was back in high school. What a great day that was!! Thanks, Dr. Rios, for
capturing this moment!

My husband and I playing golf at our home course, Northcliffe Golf Course. He always beats me, but sometimes I outdrive him!! He's a great coach and very patient. Our goal is to play one round of golf in every single state! That will be a fun project when we both retire!
