Popcorn / Sight Word Lists

Popcorn Words are words that "POP" up in reading.

Each week we will have 2 -3 new sight words.  One of our Kindergarten TEKS is recognizing, reading, and spelling them.  Please make sure  you are practicing every week.

Suggestions for making it fun...

Make flashcards and tape them around the house- earn a sticker or candy if they can successfully read it to you.

Make up a song or a rap to help chant out the word and how it's spelled.

Have "slap" cards.  Write the word on a card, hang it to the wall or mirror or fridge.  Each time they see it, they "slap" it and say the word.
