All About Me

  I am an Ohio native however, moving to Texas the first time, thirty eight years ago, convinced me to never shovel snow again.  As you see I am a Buckeye!  I graduated from THE Ohio State University with a degree in Elementary Education concentrating on early childhood, along with a minor in Fine Arts.  I also have a master’s degree in Reading and Literacy.

        I have taught all over the world to include; New Mexico, California, Kansas, Virginia, Germany, Korea and Texas three times.  I taught kindergarten for fourteen years, PreK for six years, one year of fourth grade and two years of first grade.  We must also count the years of substituting when my girls were young.

        I came to Fort Sam Houston in 2008 as a PreK teacher for three years, kindergarten for one and now, this in my twelfth year teaching the first major I started to pursue in college, Theater Arts!  I love being the Drama teacher and working with the fifth grade Exemplary students.  

        I never thought I could learn hundreds of student names!  It’s easy when you enjoy teaching them!  Have a great school year!
