What is RTI?

RtI for Parents: RtI stands for Response to Intervention. RtI is not a program or curriculum it is a framework  used in schools to screen and monitor for specific educational needs.  All students are screened at the beginning of the school year and based on the outcomes students are considered for educational needs.  According to the Texas Education Agency, RtI is an approach that schools use to help all students, including struggling learners. The RtI approach gives Texas students the opportunities to learn and work at their grade level. The ideas is to help all students be successful.
