Welcome to Ms. Taylor’s Monkey Mania:

We are Swinging Around in Kindergarten

I look forward to my 10th year at Fort Sam Elementary. Entering kindergarten is an exciting time for children and their parents. Moving from a prekindergarten classroom, the home or from a childcare center to a kindergarten or a new school environment can be an uncomfortable experience for a child. No worries, most days in the Kindergarten room unfold uneventfully. We read, we draw, we color, we eat. We play, we sing, we build, we rest. We learn. We make friends. We discover life. We discover and develop friendships. This community of learners will form a lasting bond called a family. Each little individual living a life that parallels the bigger lives we live on a day-to-day basis, in the hustle-bustle adult world. What a rare and golden opportunity I have been given to watch life bloom, untouched and unaffected. I am honor and excited for a new school year!

Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child's education. The best way to communicate with me is through your student's agenda, Remind, or my email [email protected]. Please click the "Subscribe" button on the right side of this homepage to receive updates and the latest class news.

Please be sure to subscribe to my Remind account for updates! I will do LOTS of communication through this website. I have attached a copy of the code for my classroom.

CougarCub Fun Run

Cougar Cub Fun Run Families,

Our class is having a BLAST preparing for the Cougar Cub Fun Run coming up soon! We've also begun learning how to choose to live with character every day through Booster’s brand new character theme, MindSpark: Wild West. While they're teaming up with the MindSpark Kids to compete in character duels, your students will learn five 21st-century character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world. Make sure to ask your students what they've learned each day, and together you can watch the story unfold on!

Remember, we need your help connecting to sponsors who can make a pledge to help our school! Please make sure all pledges for the Cougar Cub Fun Run are entered on The more pledges we get, the more incentives our class earns on our Pledge-O-Meter.

Thank you for your generosity and support of our school. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Have a great day!

P.S. Make sure to register your child on Search for your school or use our school registration code:
