About Me

Hello! My name is Marissa Lawrence and I am so excited to be the K-2 Reading Specialist this school year!! As a Reading Specialist, I will be collaborating with teachers, parents, and students to provide additional literacy support in grades kinder through second. This is my seventh year in education. I graduated from St. Mary's University with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary English Language Arts and Reading and from The University of Texas at Arlington with a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in Literacy. I am passionate about reading and look forward to working with students each year to share my passion. 📚

-I have two dogs 🐕🐕

-I grew up in a military family and have moved nine times 🏡

-I have climbed to the top of Mt. Fuji in Japan and had to sleep on the mountain ⛰️
