FSHISD Recognized by Google!

Recently, Google launched a new program designed to identify and acknowledge educational organizations across the country who demonstrate vision and thought leadership through their adoption of Google for Education technology and who are excited to share their experiences, learnings, and best practices with others. The new program is called the Google for Education Reference District Program and FSHISD is one of the first districts in the country to be recognized.

In an email to the district Google stated, “Based on your district’s strong use of G Suite for Education tools and deep adoption of Google Chromebooks, you are one of the “Googliest” districts in the US.”

This special honor truly recognizes the efforts of everyone in the district -- especially our instructional staff who engage our students in their learning, our students who create incredible projects and submit outstanding work, as well as members of our outstanding Board of Trustees and Leadership Team.

FSHISD Posts District of Innovation Plan

The District of Innovation concept, passed by Texas Legislature, gives traditional school districts more flexibility and local control and increases a district’s ability to decide what best meets the unique needs of the students and to customize a response to those needs. In our ongoing effort to meet the needs of our students and families, FSHISd has posted a proposed plan to become a District of Innovation. District and Campus Survey Results Available for Review

FSHISD conducted its first district and campus surveys to inform students, parents, staff, and other district stakeholders of perceptions in key areas. Using a continuous improvement model, district and campus teams will discuss results, gather more information if necessary, identify areas of strength and improvement needed, and develop action steps.
