About Me
Hi there! I’m a proud San Antonio native who has been teaching for ten years. I spent five years in Special Education and five years in General Education, working with amazing kids from kindergarten all the way through sixth grade. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa and my master’s degree in Community and School Leadership from Texas State University.
I have been married for almost five wonderful years and share my home with four cats, one rabbit, and a whole lot of pet hair. I’m known for having a ton of energy and love anything that gets me up and moving, whether that’s teaching, exploring, or working on my latest hobby: yard work. My favorite is edging the lawn. It’s strangely satisfying!
Whether in the classroom or out in the yard, I bring enthusiasm, humor, and a big smile to everything I do.
I currently serve as a Special Education teacher working with fifth grade students. My focus is on creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. I work closely with students, families, and colleagues to provide individualized instruction, encourage independence, and celebrate each learner’s unique strengths.
