To honor President George H. W. Bush, President Trump declared Wednesday, December 5 as a National Day of Mourning and issued an Executive order to close Federal offices. This closure does NOT affect Fort Sam Houston ISD. All District offices will be open, all classes will be in session, and all school business will be conducted according to normal operating procedures.

Due to an incident on the installation, all FSHISD schools and buses will be on a one-hour delay today, Friday, November 9, 2018.

Safety is a priority at Fort Sam Houston ISD. District personnel went in to Lockdown at the direction of JBSA-FSH as a result of a security incident that occurred earlier this morning. Students who arrived on campus were secured following Lockdown procedures. Teachers accounted for students and communication with parents was initiated. For children still at home, parents are welcome to bring students to school or if they want a bus pickup they can call 210-368-8720.
