  Wow! What a year it has been.Your child has really grown into a wonderful student. I have had such a fun time teaching them and sharing experiences with each of them.   We did a class activity with one ugly apple and one bright pretty red apple. We passed both apples around the circle and every child said one hurtful thing to the ugly apple and one kind thing to the pretty apple. We then talked about how words make us feel on the inside. Then we cut open the apples to see how hurt the ugly apple was on the inside and how fresh the pretty apple was. We learned to always use kind words because hurtful words can make others sad on the inside.
