Message From the Principal

It is with immense pride and excitement that I welcome you to Fort Sam Houston Elementary. It is truly an honor to lead this beautiful campus—a place filled with bright students who express a genuine love for learning, a deeply dedicated staff, and an incredibly supportive school community.

This year marks my 36th year in education, a journey that began with a foundational role as a paraeducator in Del Rio, Texas. Over the decades, my path has allowed me to build a well-versed background in:

*Elementary Education

*Special Programs

*Curriculum and Instruction

*Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)

These experiences have shaped my core belief in the equity of educational opportunities for all students. I find joy in learning from our students and staff every day and am passionate about providing them with the experiences they need to build the confidence to become life-long learners.

To our returning families and those joining the FSHE family for the first time: Welcome home. Our theme for this school year is "Cougar Cubs On A Mission." It serves as a daily reminder that our students can achieve excellence when provided with guidance and the right objectives.

At FSHE, we hold a deep commitment to serving the military child. We understand the unique journey of our families, and whether it is through academics or extracurricular activities, we strive for wholehearted dedication and passion. Together, we will create an environment where every student’s unique talents are not only recognized but celebrated and nurtured.
