Welcome!
Welcome!
Here are some healthy habits for you and your family.
- Breakfast - A study reported in the Journal of School Health concluded that students who skip breakfast are less attentive, have higher cholesterol levels, and have lower scores on standardized tests. Tardiness and absenses are markedly lower among breakfast-eaters.
- Bedtime - Children thrive on routine, so it is important to establish a bedtime routine.
- Head lice prevention - Pediculosis (head lice) is often common among school age children. Persistent head itching and nits (dandriff like, white egg cases) are the signs to look for. Sharing of hats, combs, and close contact will allow the insects to spread. Please contact the nurse if your child has head lice. This will allow us to work together to change the situation.
Please remind your child about frequent hand washing and coughing in the bend of the elbow.
Please feel free to contact me with your thoughts and concerns.
Sincerely,
Mia Nolen, R.N., B.S.N.
