I grew up in Kerrville, Texas though I had lived in Wisconsin as a young child and was originally born in Brooklyn, NY. I graduated from Tivy High School in 1995.
After graduating from The University of Texas-Corpus Christi in 1998, I moved to Florida. I did come back to Texas for a couple of years where I taught third and fourth grade on North Padre Island. But, I returned to Florida and spent ten years there. While in Florida I taught all things from high school and middle school English and then a wonderful three years as an elementary school librarian. Our school was a magnet school for the arts and it was a wonderful experience to work there as I obtained my Master's in Library and Information Science at the University of South Florida.
In all, though, I love being at Fort Sam Houston Elementary with your students so much! I am happy to be continuing here since 2010!
Recently, some students submitted some written questions to me, so I would like to address them in this attached file. I love hearing from my kids!
