Dear Cougar Cub Parents & Families,
This month, our school is focusing on the character trait TRUSTWORTHINESS!
What does it mean to be trustworthy?
Being trustworthy means doing what you say you will do, telling the truth, keeping your promises, and making responsible choices—even when no one is watching.
What Trustworthiness Looks Like at School
Students can show trustworthiness by:
- Telling the truth, even when it is difficult
- Keeping promises and commitments
- Returning things that don't belong to them
- Following rules and expectations
- Taking responsibility for their choices
- Being someone others can count on
At Home!
Families can help build trustworthiness by encouraging children to:
✔ Keep a promise
✔ Tell the truth
✔ Complete a responsibility without being reminded
✔ Admit when they make a mistake
✔ Follow through on what they say they will do
Thank you for your support in helping our students grow into trustworthy, responsible, and caring individuals. Please see the resources below that can help guide the conversation. Remember that trust is built through small choices every day.

💬 Family Conversation Starter
Ask your child:
“What does it mean to be someone others can trust?”
Then share an example of a time when someone showed you trustworthiness.
LOST AND FOUND: In an early effort to ensure your child’s belongings get home; please label all items, jackets, sweaters, water bottle, lunch boxes, etc. with your child’s name and grade level.
